Dear Friends of Miranda,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you so much for your comments and well-wishes. Likewise, we treasure your prayers and believe in their power. There is a rotation of Miranda\u2019s friends that provides hours-long visits daily to provide care for Miranda as well as support for Joel. The updates that we share come directly from them as they spend time daily with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some quick updates on Miranda\u2019s condition:
– Doctors were worried about an infection due to an intermittent fever, but all of her cultures came back clean. Apparently fever is a common result of transplant procedures.
– Another piece of good news is that the ventilation machine, which Miranda previously needed at times to help her breathe, was removed from the room today and Miranda is breathing well on her own!
– Miranda\u2019s kidney function has improved, meaning no more need for dialysis!
– At times, Miranda is showing increased responsiveness\u2013 making sounds, moving her feet, and tracking with her eyes. These are all positive signs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some specific things to pray for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– For miraculous and powerful healing for Miranda\u2013 especially for increased responsiveness and improved\/restored brain function.
– For her body to continue to accept her transplanted organs and that they would function well.
– For Miranda\u2019s comfort through the constant medical care and procedures she is undergoing.
– For wisdom and insight as Miranda\u2019s caregivers and doctors plan the next stage of Miranda\u2019s recovery.\u00a0
– For comfort, peace, and strength for the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
