Though the progress is not always linear,&nbsp; there is so much to be encouraged about!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Miranda has been doing regular rehab sessions in the hospital to work on both physical movement and speech. Though tiring, she has experienced steady progress on these fronts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miranda\u2019s responsiveness and speech capabilities continue to improve. She is now engaging in small conversation with her family and visitors and even laughing. It\u2019s so good to see Miranda\u2019s beautiful personality shine through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>She no longer requires oxygen because she is getting enough on her own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Doctors say that her organs are in good shape. There is no sign of infection and she does not need to be monitored in the ICU anymore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And perhaps the biggest and most exciting piece of news is that Miranda is leaving University Hospital and going to an in-patient rehab facility tomorrow!<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All of these are enormous answers to prayer. We are so thankful for the many people who continue to pray constantly for Miranda. Please keep praying! Here are some additional prayer requests as Miranda enters the next stage of her recovery<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For continued progress on all fronts\u2013 for increased physical strength, control over her body, speech capabilities, and mental alertness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That the transition to the in-patient rehab facility would go well.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>That the medical staff there would have wisdom in how best to guide the recovery process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That Miranda would be comfortable there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That Joel and the family would have a good experience there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Miranda is far more alert now and able to feel much more in every way\u2013 pray that she would be encouraged and full of positive thoughts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That her kidney and liver would continue to operate well with no setbacks.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For rest, strength, and encouragement for Joel and the kids as they ride the ups and downs of the recovery while juggling the rest of their responsibilities as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friends, A ton has happened since the last update here, and we wanted to catch you up.
