Hello Miranda\u2019s Friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you all for your prayers and support. We wanted to give a quick update on this last week. Miranda remains in the hospital as they deal with a leak in her kidney. Unfortunately, the stent that they placed on Sunday slipped out of place and after initially putting a new one in on Tuesday, the doctors replaced it with a tube on Friday (yesterday). Both procedures went well, and the hope is that the tube will take pressure off of the kidney and allow the leak to heal. Miranda was also taken off of solid food again because of her kidney, but is still eating pureed and soft foods like yogurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miranda is still receiving therapy at the hospital, but the hope is that she will soon progress enough to go back to RHI, the rehab hospital, and then soon thereafter home. However the doctors need to deem that her kidneys are functioning well enough to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few prayer requests:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– That Miranda\u2019s kidneys will heal quickly and remain in good shape so that she can leave the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Miranda is still experiencing trouble seeing, especially (OT thinks) from her left eye\u2013 likely as the result of the original brain trauma. Pray that her vision improves and her brain trauma is healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– For progress in all areas of her rehab and therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– For encouragement and strength for Miranda and all those who love and take care of her, especially Joel and the kids. The healing process has not been linear\u2013 especially this past week, and it can be difficult to experience setbacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
