It\u2019s extra sad when the previous 48 hours had been so good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the hypoglycemic event last night some intense nausea came on. We had a hard time getting blood sugars up, and then once those little suckers went up, they didn\u2019t want to come back down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My was up all night puking. No sleep at all. Now that we are on our own pump and have to learn to manage it with the nurses help, I was up all night too chasing blood sugars. Many times I would fall into a deep sleep and wake up to a shaking shoulder, \u201cMom.. we need to make some insulin adjustments.\u201d Or \u201cMom, we need the CGM readings.\u201d It\u2019s awesome that they do this so we aren\u2019t so confused on how to work with all it when we do get to go home, but dang am I tired! There was also lots of \u201cMama\u2026 can you\u2026\u201d whatever My needed throughout the night. Poor My could not get comfortable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At about 8am they got some more pain meds, and that relaxed them enough to fall asleep for a little bit. Sadly only until it was time for some dressings to be change, receive other meds, and check vitals. Poor My is looking real sickly pale today. The doctors did suggest to drain the g-tube and see if that help. Hopefully it helps, because there\u2019s some yucko stuff going on there. I have never been so thankful that it was the day for the room to be cleaned and all the trash to be cleared! It smelled gnarly in here! Yay for bleach!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DISC team came in this morning and did some adjustments for overnight insulin with My in hopes we won\u2019t have to chase those highs tonight. The DISC doctor yesterday was awesome. He was only supposed to work till 11pm, but said he was going to stay a little late to ensure My was at a comfortable spot. He was the room doing insulin adjustments and checking on My after 12:30am this morning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My hope today is for My to get good rest and find that steady place we had been the previous two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mylinsangrypancreas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/img_6774.jpg?w=768\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-295\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night was a real rough one.
