We can back up to the floor on Monday. In terms of her liver Nora is doing fantastic! Finally yesterday they switched all of her meds over to either by mouth or her NJ tube. We have been able to stop her feeds for 4 hours a few times a day leading up to a meal time to help with her appetite. This has been helpful but she is still not eating great. Today they decided to turn her feeds off all day and see what she does; then we can just make it up overnight. Which is great because we weren’t sure how continuous feeds at home would work. She would have to carry a back pack with a heavy pump in it all day. One I don’t know she would keep the back pack in but two she is on abdominal precautions for 6 weeks which for adults includes a 10 lb lifting restriction. This week Eric and I did all of our post transplant training. Basically, Nora will live in a bubble for the next few months. We are all set on meds and have learned how to give her shots (which we all hate). Nora has slept terrible the last few days and nights so we all just want to be home asap where no one will be constantly coming in every hour at night. All in all she is doing well but very sick of people coming to bother her, look at her, touch her belly, etc. We are all ready for home! Hopefully tomorrow!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Sorry for the minimal updates lately; it’s been a busy week. We can back up to the floor on Monday.
