Today marks a very important milestone:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 months since our little man came into the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I type it out, it feels crazy that it\u2019s ONLY been 6 months.

And yet\u2026it also feels much shorter than that.

In the past few months we\u2019ve gone through a transformation alongside Ollie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While he\u2019s been a fighter, a trooper, a resilient little man, we\u2019ve had to learn how to be parents, advocates, and medical stewards to our little guy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I won\u2019t lie. The first 2-3 months were the hardest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjusting to our new normal while also watching our son go through some of the most challenging moments was almost unbearable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And not only that, but I was recovering from a major surgery and trying to be by his bedside as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn’t have gotten through any of it without Tay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was truly our rock. And he rose to the occasion of those first few weeks with incredible strength for both of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, once the dust settled and Ollie started to recover from his surgery, we were able to find more stability in our routine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More joy. More fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in the last few weeks in particular, Ollie has come into his own as a little boy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s playful. Thoughtful. Curious. Joyous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s meeting almost all of the typical milestones. Just…inside the walls of the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 months feels like a big deal for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only because it marks a new stage of development for him. But because we\u2019re entering the stage where a new heart could come at any time. Or at least, it\u2019s getting much more likely.

And with that comes anticipation. But stress, too.

He has to remain ready for it when it comes. And we have faith that God will make that happen. But the waiting is the hardest part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re so excited for his next chapter to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we\u2019re so grateful for how far he\u2019s come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So please keep praying with us that Ollie will get his chance soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And know that we are praying for all of you. Our wonderful team of supporters who have loved on us, lifted us up, done so many things behind the scenes that I\u2019m sure we don\u2019t even know about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just know that every prayer, every gift, every kind word has meant the world to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So thank you for being here with us for these 6 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
