268 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s been 268 days since Oliver Fox Payton entered this world as a little miraculous warrior. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yesterday, he got to see the world outside of the hospital walls. \ud83c\udf33\u2600\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because yesterday, OLLIE GOT DISCHARGED!!! \ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are absolutely praising the Lord and our hearts are full of joy (and many other emotions!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It feels absolutely crazy that it\u2019s been 9 months already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 months of heartache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 months of stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But also 9 months of the joy of getting to know Oliver and watch him fight for life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yet, we are only just beginning this journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent 9 months growing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a whole tribe of literally thousands of people spent 9 months helping him survive. \ud83e\udd0d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And one incredibly generous, selfless, amazing family chose to give him that gift of life through their own loss. \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words will honestly never be able to explain everything we\u2019ve felt and been through these last 268 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we will keep trying to express it as best we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because this story \u2014 Ollie\u2019s story \u2014 is one of love, hope, perseverance, community, and the grace of God. \ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udffc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know throughout his life we have had thousands and thousands of people across the globe praying for us, sharing our story, and lifting us up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We thank each and every single one of you for that. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every one of you who has donated even a dime, offered even one prayer, offered a minute of your time\u2026you are angels walking this earth and we are so so incredibly grateful for you. \ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will try to write more in these coming weeks and share pictures and stories as Ollie explores the world with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But just know for now, as we walked out of the hospital yesterday welling up with tears, every single one of you were on our minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We couldn\u2019t have done it without you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
