After some testing, we learned he had a staph infection, so he\u2019s now on antibiotics to fight it off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully, he hasn\u2019t had a fever since that first day, and he\u2019s already looking so much better\u2014still a little fussy at times, but brighter, calmer, and more like himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the bumps in the road, he\u2019s been <em>gaining weight like a champ<\/em> and is officially up to 8.5 lbs. He\u2019s looking chunky, strong, and absolutely adorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now, we\u2019re waiting to hear more from the team about how long he\u2019ll need to be on antibiotics and whether the infection clears completely. Before Ollie can receive a donor heart, he\u2019ll need <strong>2\u20133 negative cultures in a row<\/strong>, so we are <em>praying hard<\/em> that these next few tests come back clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please continue to pray against any infections and illnesses and that he will be brought into perfect health so he can be ready for his miracle heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you all for continuing to cheer our little guy on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every message, every prayer, every kind thought means the world. \ud83d\udc9b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ollie turned 11 weeks this week, and it\u2019s been a bit of a whirlwind.
