Unfortunately, Reese’s lab work from today showed that this round of IV steroids have not worked. His numbers have gone up instead of down like we had hoped they would. Reese will have to be put under sedation, yet again, to have a PICC line placed to administer heavy doses of immunosuppressants which will basically wipe out his immune system to try and save his liver. This immunosuppressant treatment will be a minimum of 5 days and they plan to start tomorrow. Along with this treatment comes many harsh side effects including staying more isolated due to his weakened immune system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words cannot describe the distress we are feeling at this time. Reese’s adorable smile and contagious giggle is what has been getting us through our days. We ask that you continue to pray for Reese as he goes through this treatment and his family as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. And again, we thank you for all of your continued love and support thus far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
