She\u2019s been on continuous feeds since mid-November, when bottles just weren\u2019t something she could tolerate. Our first attempts were discouraging \u2014 she wanted nothing to do with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then something clicked. With Ms. Rachel on the TV helping her focus, she latched onto her bottle like a fish on a hook and has been eating like a champ. It really feels like she\u2019s ready for this next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the next week or two, the plan is to keep building up how much Sabrina takes by mouth while Kyle and I learn her nursing cares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also learned today that some members of Sabrina\u2019s heart failure team share a different outlook on 1B status and feel that, with extra time, she may still have a chance at getting the heart she needs without needing to decline in health and be put back on 1A status again.
