{"id":196,"date":"2026-09-14T18:57:03","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T18:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforsofiasheartjourney\/?p=196"},"modified":"2026-09-14T18:59:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T18:59:27","slug":"post-transplant-hospital-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforsofiasheartjourney\/2026\/09\/14\/post-transplant-hospital-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Post Transplant Hospital Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Photos of our brave warrior post-transplant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We wanted to take a moment to catch everyone up on some of Sofia\u2019s incredible progress since transplant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just one day post-op, our strong girl was already out of bed and into a chair, absolutely blowing the ICU staff away with her grit, determination, and strength. From there, she continued to progress quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her biggest hiccup was having a difficult time keeping one of her anti-rejection medications down. But, true to who Sofia is, she adapted. She learned to take that medication as a pill, and before we knew it, our resilient girl was ready to go home, less than two weeks after her transplant!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are forever grateful to Sofia\u2019s donor and donor family for this incredible gift of life, and to everyone who has prayed for her and supported our family along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
