She needed oxygen overnight, but her oxygen saturations were still dropping. On Tuesday, her BNP level (indicates stress on the heart) came back elevated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her team gave her an extra dose of diuretic medication and planned to repeat her labs today. Thankfully, she seemed to be feeling more like herself afterward, but there were discussions about possibly needing to switch from oral diuretics to IV diuretics if her BNP remained elevated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the results came back during rounds this morning, we were relieved to hear that Sofia\u2019s BNP level had come down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For now, the plan is to continue monitoring her levels a little more closely and use an extra dose of oral diuretics if needed rather than making any bigger changes.
