Update from Elaine as of today Friday August 15th:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ok everyone… the big day has come… I got the call yesterday morning from the heart team that they accepted a heart for Ethan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He’s scheduled for transplant today at 9am at Seattle Children’s Hospital. There is no definitive timeframe for the overall surgery, but we were told it could be 8-12 hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been a busy flurry of activity in prepping…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethan is actually doing really well…worried, but excited to get this done and on the road to recovery! Jim, Grace and I are excited too…nervous, and all the feels though! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nurses and all the staff here are just wonderful. His nurse for the night told me she’s honored to be one off his last nurses before transplant. \u2764\ufe0f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes so far from you all and keep them coming! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please also pray for the donor family and their loss. I’m thankful for their choice to donate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
