{"id":16,"date":"2022-11-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cota1.wpengine.com\/cotaforteamjackson\/2022\/11\/23\/48-hours-later\/"},"modified":"2022-11-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T00:00:00","slug":"48-hours-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cota.org\/cotaforteamjackson\/2022\/11\/23\/48-hours-later\/","title":{"rendered":"48 hours later &#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello again!&nbsp; My apologies if I am posting too many blogs, but I am just so insanely proud of my boy!&nbsp; Here we are, 48 hours after surgery and the progress Jackson has made&nbsp;is amazing.<\/p>\n<p>The first image below shows Jackson a few hours after surgery on Monday, in his hospital bed with&nbsp;so many&nbsp;tubes&nbsp;and wires even more than you can see in the picture.&nbsp; He could barely keep his eyes open &#8211; only long enough to make sure I was still there.&nbsp; His nurse woke him up to check his vitals, IVs, and pain level once an hour through the night.<\/p>\n<p>The second picture shows him 24 hours later.&nbsp; He was able to let go of 2 of his 4 IVs and pain medication went from &#8216;on demand&#8217; to once every 6 hours.&nbsp; He was more alert on this day (Tuesday) but still slept for a good part of the day.&nbsp; His vitals were taken every 2 hours throughout the night, so he was able to sleep a good deal more.<\/p>\n<p>The third picture was from this morning (Wednesday) when I got to the hospital.&nbsp; Awake, aware, and roaming the halls of the 9th floor!<\/p>\n<p>The last picture was him at lunch time today &#8211; fresh from a shower and enjoying a nice warm burger.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m purely amazed at the progress in such a relatively short amount of time after a major surgery.&nbsp; Thank you for praying for&nbsp;Jackson!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2107\/images\/Day%201%20sleep.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2107\/images\/Day%202%20sleep.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"265\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2107\/images\/walk.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2107\/images\/lunch.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello again!&nbsp; My apologies if I am posting too many blogs, but I am just so insanely proud of my boy!&nbsp; Here we are, 48 hours after surgery and the progress Jackson has made&nbsp;is amazing.
