He got a renal\/bladder ultrasound this AM which looks great. Labs came in from this morning and his kidney function has improved dramatically! We havent seen that low of a creatinine level since he was 4 years old! \ud83e\udd79<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here was the scene: I\u2019m still in my pajamas, didn\u2019t even brush my hair yet, and the nephrologist is hugging me in the middle of 10 people during hospital rounds&nbsp; because I\u2019m bawling happy tears of joy! \ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude2d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We get to move out of the intensive care unit today to a regular room! Onward and upward! The team thinks he looks amazing for just having a kidney transplant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve is doing much better. He had some struggles yesterday with pain management, but today he\u2019s turned a corner and he\u2019s eating and walking. \ud83d\udc4d\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoping he gets discharged soon so we can see him. \ud83e\udd1e\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We miss him and Jacob keeps asking for him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An enormous, larger than life thank you to all of you. We feel all the love and could not be more grateful right now. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb \u267b\ufe0f\ud83d\udc96<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Special thanks to Aunt Janel, Jacob\u2019s unofficial nurse and my invaluable partner since Steve can\u2019t be here.
