March 8, 2025 – We are so thankful for Dr. Ravindra and his team at Duke, and to the donor\u2019s family for saving Ken\u2019s life. There have been ups, downs, tears of joy and tears in pain. Recovery is hard, but Ken\u2019s doing a great job. He walked 400 feet with the use of a walker today! He continues to rely on pain medication (we\u2019ve learned the hard way that we have to stay ahead of the pain), and is taking his regular antirejection medication as well as lots of antibiotics. Tonight\u2019s agenda is to route for Duke in the UNC\/Duke basketball game!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
