Stetson has made substantial strides in his liver rejection treatment, resulting in his transfer from the ICU to a general floor due to his stable condition and the need to allocate ICU resources to a more critically ill patient. Stetson had a stable Labor Day weekend. However, the biopsy revealed cholestasis, characterized by reduced or blocked bile flow from the liver, potentially indicating inflamed or blocked bile ducts. An MRI with and without contrast is scheduled to confirm the absence of any overlooked conditions and assess bile duct function, guiding further treatment decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stetson is currently undergoing a treatment plan that includes steroid therapy to manage his condition. The treatment schedule involves daily doses administered every three days. The team has advised that due to the type of rejection, progress may be slower than desired. Notwithstanding the difficulties, Stetson has shown remarkable courage. We are both eager to regain a sense of normalcy in our lives. Stetson has been granted lobby privileges, which permit him to take walks around the lake and enjoy the fresh air. While we strive to push through each day, we acknowledge that challenging days will occur. We appreciate the supportive care provided by his medical team. Each day brings uncertainty regarding his condition and how he will feel, but he remains a fighter.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Colton is striving to meet some of his developmental milestones. He is actively participating with his occupational therapist and his speech therapist. Despite metabolic set backs he is excited to play and make new friendships. This little guy is socially advancing with every encounter. Colton has been improving on trying more foods in spite of his dietary limitations. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
