The chest tube is GONE and it appears the lung is HEALED!<\/p>\n<p>Now, hopefully no tricks and he gets discharged yet this week. Stay tuned&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Posted on 11\/1\/18 @ 3:20pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After&#8230;<br \/>58 days on the Transplant List<br \/>36 nights in the Hospital<br \/>9 hours of Surgery<br \/>5 Chest Tubes<br \/>2 New Lungs<br \/>1 Dry Run<br \/>&#8211; AND &#8211;<br \/>The best family, friends, strangers, doctors, nurses, care techs, transplant team EVER&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We are headed home to start figuring out our new normal. The fight doesn&#8217;t stop and we won&#8217;t give up. Recovery will still last several months and there is life long maintenance involved. The Docs will watch and treat rejection as it happens. Regardless, this is a HUGE milestone.
