We received the results back and he was diagnosed with NPHP1 Gene Deletion Juvenile Nephronophthisis. It’s an autosomal recessive kidney disease that leads to renal (kidney) failure in childhood or adolescence. It can be combined with extra-renal manifestations such as liver fibrosis or cardiac malformations.
