Surgeon said all looks good&#8230; trying to bring down his pain currently.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Day 2: Ryder unfortunately had a very rough night&#8230; not a high enough dose for pain meds&#8230; pain was and still has been at a 10&#8230; blood pressure was very high last night&#8230; doctor is finally adjusting the dosage&#8230; hoping he can get some relief&#8230; and some food and liquids in him&#8230; wil be here for a few more days as there is much to do before he goes home&#8230;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Day 3: Another long day of trying to manage his pain&#8230; finally seems to have the meds dialed in a bit better.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Day 4: Ryder had a better night&#8230; woke up sore but not as much pain&#8230; eating and drinking more&#8230; getting up and moving more&#8230; still not a happy camper but hopefully he is on the mend with pain meds on track.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Day 5: Pinch Me!!!! Someone&rsquo;s sitting up on his own and there&rsquo;s real food happening!!!!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cota.org\/uploads\/2319\/images\/154165556_10224959082273827_1786461686606052147_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"351\" height=\"468\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Day 6: Ryder is home&#8230; arrived around 5:30 pm today, Friday. Glad he is home&#8230; words cannot describe how brave he&rsquo;s been&#8230; he has 2 weeks of recovery from his surgery&#8230; then dialysis begins at home&#8230;although we return to his heavy daily medication routine&#8230; his injections&#8230; and his carefully measured and weighed out food plan&#8230; so glad he has forged thru this first phase with flying colors&#8230; for now the teaching begins for all of us to learn the ins and outs of administering dialysis at home.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Post Op: Surgery went well&#8230; is in recovery.
