The pain medication caused some rough side effects.  The team is now working to better manage his pain with different options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This morning, PT helped him out of bed, and he walked to the doorway and back five steps each way. He was also able to sit up in a chair for about two hours, although getting back into bed was painful. Great effort today.  Way to go, Zach!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pediatric psychologist and his surgeon both checked in, and they say his recovery is right on track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zach had a tough night.
