David Ormstedt – Treasurer

David Ormstedt joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2014. He has been actively involved on the Nominating, Finance and Audit, and By Laws Committees. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. David chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “Having been involved with charities my entire career, I was eager to offer my time and knowledge to an effective, efficient organization. COTA fit the bill. COTA’s ability to superbly help children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant flows from its dedicated and attentive management and staff members who are supported by a strong Board of Directors.”

David Ormstedt is a retired attorney. His 40-year career included 30 years with the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Public Charities Unit. Mr. Ormstedt holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Doctorate of Law from the University of Connecticut.
