Updates on Nolan

Nolan continues to go to dialysis 3 times per week. Because of his fistula (An arteriovenous (AV) fistula is a connection, made by a vascular surgeon, of an artery to a vein. … provides good blood flow for dialysis. lasts longer than other types of access.) he is unable to use crutches. For the last several months, Nolan has had to crawl from the house to the car because they don’t have a wheelchair ramp. The Homeowners Association drug out the process of approving but finally approved. Amy’s friend’s church has volunteered to build the ramp. Finally, Nolan can leave the house with dignity to go to his dialysis appointments and school. Another friend is going to do some paving work on their driveway to make it easier for Nolan as well.

If you have a minute, drop a card in the mail to Nolan. While he is being a good sport about this, it begins to toll on him and get him down.
