Bridges to Brews COTA fundraiser
We have a huge fundraising opportunity on Saturday, October 12th! Mark your calendar and follow the link to register! Bridges to Brews will be a run/walk in Clarkston, WA that starts at Granite Lake Park at 10am and will end near Riverport Brewing Co. You can stop by the brewery after the race for brats and brews!
The race will be a 6.5k in reference to “65 roses” to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis (see one of our previous posts for more info on the 65 roses story). 6.5 kilometers is roughly 4 miles.
The registration fee to attend the race is $30 which will include a T-shirt for finishers (The race shirt is separate from the “Erika’s New Lungs” shirts). The proceeds from the race are going to go towards the COTA for Erika fundraising efforts for her transplant related expenses. A reminder that our fundraising goal for our COTA campaign for Erika is $65,000!
Transplant related expenses include the living expenses incurred during the 3 months of stay in Seattle as well as the very costly hospital bills associated with transplant. In addition, there are going to be lifelong expenses that include expensive immunosuppressive medication and frequent travel and stays in Seattle to monitor Erika’s progress.
If we get enough people to attend the race, we hope to make it an annual event! Please please please spread the word about the race by sharing this post on Facebook and telling your friends! If you are not local but would like to support the cause, please consider donating to COTA for Erika by following the link below.
