HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Thanksgiving 2013 we found ourselves tag teaming on visiting Porter in the NICU as we waited for word that we could take him home.

Thanksgiving 2014~ Steve and I tag teamed again on visiting Porter in the hospital in the CVICU ~ this time with his NEW HEART.  What a joyous Thanksgiving. Porter had a good Thanksgiving Day and like the majority of us, he ate more than he did the day before.  The doctors doubled the amount of formula he was receiving. Porter’s blood pressure has been a little higher than the doctors would like so they have been playing around with different combinations of BP medicine to find the sweet spot.  They increased his diuretics a bit yesterday in order to get some of his fluid retention down a little faster.

Last night Porter was moved out of his post-op bed and into a regular crib and the restraints were taken off his hands which made him VERY happy.  The nurse said he was moving his hands to his mouth as usual.  They’ve been able to help him roll a little onto his side which he appreciates.  So far, the docs say Porter is doing really well!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, PRAYERS, AND GOOD THOUGHTS!!!
