Happy Friday!

I had a bit of a bumpy start to the week but Porter has had a smooth week. My week started out with a bang~ literally~ I was rear ended trying to get on the highway after dropping Steve off at the airport. I was the third car in the pile up and really thankful that I wasn’t the second car in line because that one was totaled!!

Porter got to sample a few different flavors this week, banana baby food, peach baby food, and some peach yogurt. Peach did not seem to be his favorite to say the least. He made quite a face with that flavor. We continue to work on building his strength and can really tell his core is getting stronger. The docs want to hold off on any more trach collar trials right now. They feel like it was stressing his heart too much and contributed to his recent stay in the CVICU.

He received the Synagis shot yesterday which is to help minimize the risk of contracting RSV which would potentially be deadly to him.

Steve and Oliver are heading to South Carolina this weekend to help out with the the Laura Gage Golf Tournament. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Fiona and COTA for choosing us to be the family sponsored this year!! Thank you to all who are participating, those who have sponsored a hole, and folks who have made donations. It looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous day!
