Porter had a nice quiet day today. The PD drain (the drain in his abdomen) was leaking a bit and starting to come out so the surgeon went ahead and took it out. They are going to monitor the fluid in his belly and may need to put another tube in but for now they are leaving it alone. The respiratory therapist came by today and did another test of allowing

Porter to do more of the breathing on his own and he did better with that today than he did yesterday. They will continue to do this at short intervals to help him strengthen his lungs. He was sleeping soundly when we left today.
