This week at BCLR (Bible Church of Little Rock) the church had its annual missions conference focusing on the local ministries that the church is involved in. One of those ministries is the Juvenile Detention Center in Little Rock headed up by Jason Lapp. Jason is a dear brother in Christ and a friend of Daniel’s for many years now. Daniel has been particiating with Jason at the D Center for over the past 5 years. Jason brings a gospel message to these young people every 2nd Sunday of every month. Jason was asked to speak to the children who attended the children’s conference about the D Center.

Jason graciously asked Dan to Facetime him and participte in the discussion. Daniel spoke about his experience and how he was quiet and reserved many times when he first attended. Then, after receiving Christ, he wanted to engage the youth at the D Center and tell them about salvation through Jesus Christ. He told the kids at the conference that he would simply ask the D Center youth “How do you think you get to heaven” or “Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour”? What a great time it was for the kids and I know Jason and Daniel loved talking with them. Hope to get Daniel engage at future D Center visits while he awaits a heart in St. Louis but I know he would encourage anybody from the youth at BCLR to get involved.
