Fluid in His Lungs but Heart Function and the Biopsies Were Good

Hey everyone its been a long day and a lot to report. Again, I’m sorry for the late report but Tina was sick and resting today so I was with Daniel being his cheerleader, his caretaker, his dad/nurse, and therapy assistant. Dan had x-rays, ultrasounds, respiratory treatments, and a bunch of therapies. These are the latest updates we can report and again thank you for your continual prayers and thoughts.

1. Answer to prayer as both the heart function and the biopsies were good news. There were no signs of rejection it was 0R (no rejection) and that’s what we wanted. There are still some outstanding results we will get soon.

2. Continued wisdom for doctors and staff on how tho best treat the problems he is having related to weakness, fatigue, poor appetite, his lungs and deeper breathing.

He had another x-ray, ultrasounds of the space around the lungs, he was given some protein IV and some medications to help him remove access fluids. Dan is fighting the fatigue to get up move and walk off the fluid and to expand his lungs. There is fluid in both lungs the left more than right but the ultrasound showed no pneumonia.

3. Our family at home, Tina and I here, and Tina’s mom who has been helping keep the home running. Dan has required constant assistance with his care and we are exhausted so he must be exhausted from the process.

Tina has come down with sort of allergies and drainage so she stayed at the hotel to rest up. So it was double duty for me today but we are holding down the fort here. Please continue to pray for Dottie, Sam, Micah, and Faith at home.

Dan wanted to share this with everyone following his progress. The words are an encouragement to him.

  1. The blog posts and the photos are such an encouragement to view. During what must be an incredibly stressful time, I appreciate the time you take to give updates. The picture of you, Daniel, outside today did MY heart good! Stay strong and I can’t imagine how difficult it all must be. Dr. P.
