HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!!

💚 One whole year of Addison “Addi” Sage Wall

Today we celebrate ONE YEAR of our tiny-but-mighty girl — and wow, what a year it’s been. Addi came into this world six weeks early, showed the NICU who’s boss, took on a biliary atresia diagnosis, rocked a liver transplant, and somehow still found time to smile through it all. Seriously… who gave this baby her warrior license so early?!

Despite more hospital bracelets than most adults and a medical journey that would slow anyone down, Addi decided that crawling, pulling herself up on everything in sight, testing out a few first steps, and saying “hi,” “mama,” and “dada” were all non-negotiable. Oh — and she is absolutely loving food, which feels like its own little miracle worth celebrating.

Right by her side through every high and every low has been her built-in bestie, twin sister Lainee. From hospital days to home snuggles, Lainee has been there for it all — and Addi has shown her gratitude in the most sibling-appropriate way possible: by pushing Lainee’s buttons whenever she gets the chance. Some things are just instinct.

While there are still plenty of doctor appointments on the calendar, the good news keeps rolling in. Overall, the doctors are incredibly happy with how Addi is doing — she’s thriving, her liver numbers are great, and she continues to amaze everyone who cares for her.

The strength, grit, and joy this little girl carries is nothing short of a miracle. She reminds us daily that courage can come in the tiniest packages — often with chubby cheeks, a mischievous smile, and zero interest in taking life slow.

Happy First Birthday, Addi. You are proof that miracles are real, warriors can be small, and one year can hold more love, hope, and strength than we ever thought possible.
