Update: 1/16/24-
Marissa celebrated her birthday at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Her brother’s drove up from Albuquerque, brought her cupcakes and did their best rendition of “Happy Birthday”. Arturo’s parents also drove from Albuquerque to stay with Addie so Marissa & Arturo could leave the hospital for a couple of hours to enjoy a meal with her brother’s that wasn’t from a to-go box or from the hospital cafeteria (the cafeteria food here is actually pretty good). We are learning to adjust and celebrate milestones in a hospital room and make things as normal as possible for Addie. We are so thankful for our family.
