What a joyful but scary day! Mom had announced that she got the call at midnight, the doner team accepted a heart, and they had Adriel in the Operating Room today! Mom was still in awe that this opportunity, after what seemed like forever waiting and praying has finally come. They let her know that the procedure would last anywhere from 6-12 hours, and this momenet was so scary for her. Later that night after 9 pm, mom finally got word that the new heart was in, and he was finally off bypass from the procedure. Once she heard word he was stable and out of surgery, mom could finally breathe again.
