Jaxon is doing so well today! They were able to stop the EPI which he’s been on since Omaha! They stopped some others too. They did start the TPN and slowly starting NJ feedings again.

They have decreased the ventilator significantly. He’s peeing more than they expected and couldn’t be happier with his progress. They will take central line out of groin tomorrow, followed by the rectal tube, and VENTILATOR! He will be on bipap after the extubate him but I guarantee he will be happier with that than the tube! The overnight ICU Dr just came in and he hasn’t had Jaxon since he first got here.

He said that it’s a miracle he got his heart when he did because he was within days of it not ending well. He said it’s crazy to see how much a bad heart can do and how quickly he has recovered with a good heart. He said the progress is nothing short of amazing. I think I needed to hear that and so did.

Jaxon…keep saying your prayers because it is working!
