ICU doctor came in with an update.

They removed the central line in his groin due to an infection there. He said that while yes there is a new infection which is a step back, Jaxon is making great strides. As for his kidneys they are doing good- not normal yet but definitely getting there.

They will also continue to progressively decrease the ventilator today with hopes to remove on Monday if all goes well. They also are going to slowly stop the sedation medication (they started this am) so that he’s more awake and alert. This way they can see how he will breathe awake while decreasing ventilator.

He said if this all happens, we could be looking at listing him for a heart transplant this next week!!!!!!!
