Surgery is not completed just yet but, the new heart is in and is beating!!!! More to come as the day goes on.

(Later that Day)

All done! Spoke to the surgeon and he did great.

They will close his chest in the next few days. Then after that work on the ventilator! We were able to see him as well! They said he was asleep so we could go in and kiss him and talk to him. I kissed his hand and said “I’m so proud of you Jackie” and as soon as I said his name, he opened his eyes and looked at me! I told him again and he shook his head yes.

I said, “Well you do good for these ladies.” He shook his head again. Then I said I’m going to tell everyone back home how good of a job you did, and he shook his head yes again! I told him to just go to sleep and rest and he closed his eyes and shook his head. I then asked to listen to his heartbeat. It’s a strong one!!!! It was one of the greatest things I think I ever heard.

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support! There is still a very long way to go. Please continue to pray for him as he begins his road to healing. And don’t forget to light it up green!
