Hello everyone. So today we had an appointment with our speech therapist. We were learning how to eat or at least taste and touch different textures of food since we haven’t really been eating anything by mouth due to her tracheomalacia. The doctor said we are doing very good to continue just letting her play with her food touch her food lick her food, and if she eats it great if not, that is fine as well. We are slowly trying to get her to eat by mouth so when we are ready for transplant, we don’t have to depend on the G-tube anymore and that can also be removed. We do have an appointment almost every week just so we can go ahead and start getting used to and adjusting ourselves to eating by mouth.
