Our Story

Anna is a very loving, kind, outgoing 12-year-old. In the early summer of 2021 Anna was diagnosed with Renal Kidney failure after showing symptoms of nausea and fatigue. Within a month, Anna’s blood work and a biopsy revealed she was in kidney failure.

Anna was staying between the University of Minnesota and the Ronald McDonald House doing Hemodialysis while getting her peritoneal dialysis working. Anna is able to do her peritoneal dialysis at home while waiting for a kidney.

We are partnering with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise funds for transplant-related expenses. 100% of the donations raised in honor of Anna will be available for a lifetime and will assist with transplant-related expenses, such as treatment, diagnosis, and travel to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, where Anna’s amazing team of doctors provide great care.

Thank you all so much for the support and prayers for our family.

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
