The cancer scary was cleared and her high white blood count was not due to cancer!!! YEAH!!! That was the toughest part for me was waiting for the results from her bone marrow biopsy and HemeSTAMP to come back. Thank you God for not allowing her to go through that again!!!! 

What we did find out is that her immune system is dysregulated. Which means we will need to suppress her immune system NOW and not wait to after a heart transplant. Doctor’s will suppress it with medication and we are hoping this will help with her high white blood count and elevated TCells. Aurelia will also need a Immune Globulin (IVIG) transfusion to help prevent her body from attacking its self and to help her after her heart transplant. 

Aurelia continues to need red blood transfusion because she is bleeding and the doctors are trying to control the bleeding. It’s pretty crazy, with nose bleeds, her mouth is bleeding, her stomach is bleeding, there is black/tar blood in her poop. 

Aurelia’s liver has been in question since putting in the BiVAD’s, and her liver numbers are still rising. Liver doctors are watching closely her liver numbers. A CT scans will be done this week or early next and if need be a liver biopsy will be done as well. 

Aurelia continues to make great progress in so many other things, like walking and moving around. And she continues to do some school work. Aurelia’s spirit has weakened and she is struggling with her overall outlook on her situation and life. There are many days where she verbalized to me and staff about her overall discomfort and pain, her missing home, missing family, friends, and her life before Stanford.
