Aurelia is doing well. Aurelia is gaining the weight her body needs to grow. She gained over 15lbs and grew over 2inches as well.

It’s amazing how much someone can grow given the right support and nutrition. (Duh…lol)

Aurelia has been fighting a battle within her for years. A battle that started with the AML cancer, which destroyed so much of her overall being and health. The list of things that was damaged continues to grow. From the start, her vision/ her eyesight. Her heart function and overall health of the heart muscles and heart valves. Her dental health and overall composition of her enamel and teeth development. Her ability to gain and maintain her weight and height. AND NOW, since being here, we learned about new traumas and damages. Her immune system. Her ability to create healthy cells to support and maintain her immune system and regulate her immune health. Her overall liver composition and function. Her ovary functioning and hormones are in question and her menstruation cycle is delayed. It’s incredibly frustrating to see all of this and know that Aurelia has been fighting these battles for years and I had no clue!!! YET, Aurelia was living her life as if none of these was an issue. And some of these could have killed her. Aurelia has always been such an eager child to learn and do things. And underneath her skin…there was a battle. I’m truly amazed and honored to say that this child is simply amazing!!!
Currently, Aurelia is still waiting to be blessed with a heart that will support her in the best way possible! As of now, Aurelia is being supported by her BiVADs and her TPN/Lipids nutrition and whatever she intakes by eating herself. Aurelia is on Basiliximab an immunosuppressant medication to calm her immune system because her immune system is wack. And this medication will allow her body to get ready to be able to receive a heart.
