After 257 days in the hospital, Aurelia was DISCHARGED on 6/2/2026. Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Right before leaving her hospital room, while Kaimi and I were reviewing her discharge paperwork, Aurelia’s GJ-Tube fell out and was hanging on. Aurelia started to freak out…we had to take out the GJ and convert it to just a G-tube. Aurelia needed Tylenol to help with the pain. The nurse practitioner, the nurse, the child life specialist, Kaimi, Aurelia, Quinn and myself was like, what the hell…the excitement and craziness continues even till the moment we are about to leave.

 As Aurelia was making her final walk through the unit… there were doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, food servers world, house keepers, friends, therapist, psychologists, and hospital staff cheering her on, waving pompoms  and singing to her as she walked out the unit. 

Aurelia and Quinn were able to pass out 60 Diamond Bakery, Animal Cracker lei and candy goodies and cookies to the staff.  We are all so happy that Aurelia is doing so well that she was able to be discharged. The plan is, we will stay at RMH for about two months then we will be cleared to fly back to Hawaii. 

Thank you God for protecting Aurelia and guiding her healthcare providers!!! Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers. 

From September2025 to June2026, a total of 257 days have been a struggle and a blessing and we couldn’t have done this without the support, love, and prayers from you all!!! Thank you and we love you!!!
