Praise God, Praise God, Praise God.

On February 23rd, we are so glad to say both Ava and her uncle are out of surgery and recovering well. The surgeons all agree that her uncle Jake’s liver was a perfect fit! Her new liver is functioning as it should and she is free from Citrullenemia Type 1, a miracle only God could perform. She is extubated and breathing on her own and they were able to close the muscles of her abdomen which means no second surgery later on down the road.

Our Ava girl has been through so much in the past 8 months and we have no other option but to thank God for the miracles he has performed through her. We are so thankful that He is doing such wonderful things for our sweet Ava June and so thankful for her Uncle. We cannot wait to see the bond they form as she grows up.

We ask that you please continue to pray for both her and her uncle Jake as they recover, that all their labs look outstanding, and for minimal pain.

Please also pray for Jake’s family as they’re away from their baby girl for a little while longer.
