Baby Lucas turned ONE on February 28th – his very first birthday fell on Rare Disease Day, a fitting reminder of the journey he’s been on since birth. Lucas was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare liver disease that affects bile ducts and can lead to serious complications. Despite the challenges, he is doing as well as we could ever hope for, and we are beyond grateful for every smile, giggle, and snuggle.

Lucas is the sweetest, most fun-loving little boy, bringing joy to everyone around him. His laughter is contagious, his spirit is strong, and his cuddles are pure magic. This week, he has a blood draw – just another step in his journey = but he continues to amaze us with his resilience.
