First Week Post Transplant
We are officially one week post transplant! Breyman has continued to show us his strength as he heals from his liver transplant. They were able to extubate Breyman Tuesday early evening which meant we got to hold our boy in our arms for the first time in over a week! It was such a sweet moment for all of us. This week we’ve received lots of waves from his bed, and belly laughs from him when we play peek-a-boo. His voice is a little raspy from being intubated and vented, but that will continue get better. We are still in the ICU but hoping over the next few days we will be able to move to another unit. Although we will miss our nurses from here it brings us one step closer to being able to go home. This week we returned to working and are so thankful for our family who have rallied around to help us stay with Brey when we can not. It’s a bittersweet returning to work while he is still in the hospital. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the next few weeks and Breyman continues to heal.
A Prayer For Our Organ Donor Family
Dear Lord,
In the midst of the overwhelming waves of sorrow, we humbly ask for your presence to envelop the organ donor family. May you grant them the strength to navigate this challenging journey with grace.
As they confront the ache of loss, may they also feel the warmth of the legacy their loved one has left behind through their selfless gift. We extend our gratitude for their sacrifice, and in the midst of their pain. we ask for your guiding light to shine upon them, illuminating a path towards healing and solace.
Amen
