We’ve been in here for a couple of hours. I can’t stop marveling over the beauty of seeing this new heart beating in her chest. Her color is beautiful. Her body is responding perfectly. The nurse said the best she’s seen. I wish the donors family could be seeing this in person. Could feel the joy we are feeling right now. Maybe it would lessen their pain. We saw a photo and video of her new heart and I swear it is one of the most beautiful sights ever. I remember my elation at seeing her heart in utero. That doesn’t compare. ♥?
