I’ve got a feeling we are off to a much better day today! She rested the best last night since transplant. They’ve taken the Nitric and Oxygen canula out of her nose. That’s a huge step!! Trial pacing of new heart is going well so far. Echo looked great. Team seems pleased with progress. Big goal today is to walk around the block in the hallway. (Which she is walking well now in the room so I feel confident she is going to rock it!!) Her pain is managed well. Main concern for her is flushing in her face from one of the medications plus her new heart working pumping blood in areas not being used to be profused. All those little tiny capillaries are still trying to wake up. That’s a sign that everything is working as it should so the team isn’t concerned. Cold washclothes and a fan clipped to her bed seems to help keep her more comfortable. So thankful for a new day. ????
