Good Morning! I can’t think of a word that would be fitting to use for how we feel. Thankful, grateful, appreciative. They all just seem so lacking. We are just praising God for excellent care here and love from those who love us all around.
It’s so good to know that all of Ceara’s visits from her care team moving forward are in preparation to get her WELL!! I’m sure they will be doing some testing to make sure everything with her current heart is still working as well as can be but it’s a relief to know that the testing phase for the transplant itself is over. That was a lot!!! She had her tough moments but handled everything like a champ. Now it’s all about making sure she’s ready for the surgery itself, but even more importantly, the rehab phase after. Her surgeon already warned her that he is not doing anything to her legs so he wants her up and walking as soon as the next day! ???? If anyone can do it, I’m convinced it’s her. She’s quite encouraged by how much better she feels after the addition of Milrenone, the IV drug, to her regimen. So we can’t wait to see what God’s got in store for her with a new working heart!! ????
For our local WNC friends there is a special (secret!) event being held for her this Saturday. Comment below with your email if you’d like more information. I’ll try and post more info on Facebook as well.
Thanks for being so phenomenal. Hope everyone’s day feels as blessed as ours.
