Cohen came out of surgery around 3am. We met with one of his surgeons who said Cohen did great and surgery went smooth. She was also pleased with the quality of the donor liver and reassured us this was the right one.
We are now in the ICU with him. He will be sedated and on a ventilator for the next few days, but overall he is doing well. He’s connected to lots of tubes/machines, but seems comfortable. He has a lot of experienced eyes on him. We are so grateful for his surgeons and care team.
It’s great to be with him, talk to him, and continue the fight to recovery along side him. He’s a strong boy.
