10.25.24 – Cyla is HOME!

She is home!!!!!

Cyla was cleared medically to come home on Tuesday. We have to continue with outpatient services until notified otherwise.

Right now our weeks will consist of lab draws Mondays and Thursdays, clinic appointments every other Monday downtown, therapy services on Wednesdays for 2hrs, & counseling on Tuesdays. It’s a lot.

Our new home routine is taking a bit to get used to. Cyla needs assistance walking still, although she does well she gets tired easily and that creates the risk of her falling, so anytime she needs to move to a different area of the home, you have to be there.

We have many new rules and criteria to abide by to keep her as healthy and safe as possible. The real beginning of her fight for recovery is at home, now that we are out of the safety bubble of the hospital, it falls on us to do all the things we must do to ensure the liver doesn’t fail.

Our entire family is honored by the outpouring of love from Cyla’s community. We appreciate all donations made to COTA for Cyla for transplant related expenses both current and future.

If you can, please consider joining in our Liver Walk tomorrow morning 10/26 at Royal Oaks Park in Grafton at 8:30am. More details on this event can be found on the event tab.

  1. Chrystal I knew the transition to home would be a big job and a big adjustment. Our small bible study group has specifically prayed for Our Gracious Lord to give you strength and wisdom. Isaiah 40:31 Prayers continue for you all.
