6 months ago when we got the news of E no longer being compatible with his previous approved donor, I was distraught. I didn’t understand the “why” behind it, but God knew.

Fast forward to now – I get it and I see it. Easton is in a MUCH better place to tackle such a life changing event.

Physically he had time to get stronger and gain new skills.

Mentally he understands more than I give him credit for and I believe truly understands, somewhat, what is happening. He loves to tell everyone he’s getting a kidney.

Emotionally and spiritually he has shown his growth in saying “I’m so happy I’m getting a kidney” or the moments we witness him praying and being thankful for his donor.
