Hi, this is Easton!
Easton was diagnosed with Bladder Outlet Obstruction when Ashlee was 18 weeks pregnant. The next 13 weeks consisted of a variety of procedures, surgeries, and ultrasounds to save little Easton’s life and preserve any kidney function he had left. Easton was born about 9 weeks early and spent 68 nights in the NICU, starting in Greenville, SC, and then being transferred to Cincinnati Children’s.
Easton made it ONE whole year without the need for dialysis but has officially been on home dialysis since September of 2022. Easton has had a strong fight – he has persevered through every obstacle to remain the happy spirited and outgoing toddler that he is.
We are preparing for Easton’s upcoming kidney transplant back in Cincinnati and plan to spend a couple months away from home as he has this life saving surgery and the care that follows. As one would expect, the costs associated with this are quickly adding up. This is why we’ve partnered with COTA for assistance with transplant-related expenses.
Easton loves anything outside – from swinging to digging in the dirt. If you know him well, you know he gives the best cuddles and will light up the room with his dimples and personality. We ask for all the prayers and support as he conquers his biggest surgery yet! We can’t wait to watch our sweet E grow and flourish!
The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
